Cloud Platform Technology (CPT) is the core of the company which helps all segments and engineers to have reliable and sustainable tools to perform the day-to-day business. The CPT operates using cutting edge technologies and cost efficient ensuring also business perspective and technologies stacks.
The Core Software Engineering Services (CSES) team is responsible for building and maintaining the tool stack in which our customers (colleagues across the whole company) perform daily business and monitoring the health and dependencies of the services.
We believe that collaboration leads to the best ideas, and we rely heavily on team interaction. As a hybrid role based in Cluj-Napoca, this position will require at least 3 days in the office each week.
Responsibilities
Support CI/CD pipelines to automate and streamline the software delivery lifecycle (help assist product teams to build/maintain).
Automate routine operational tasks and system maintenance to enhance reliability and consistency.
Support installation, configuration, and upgrades of software engineering applications and environments.
Administer and optimize Jenkins or other automation servers to ensure build and deployment stability.
Evaluate, integrate, and support new tools and technologies that improve engineering efficiency and resilience.
Implement, maintain, and enhance monitoring and testing solutions to ensure application health and performance.
Perform technical root cause analysis, identify corrective actions, and prevent recurring issues.
Participate in capacity planning, backup management, and scaling strategies to ensure system reliability.
Collaborate in peer code reviews, offering feedback and recommendations for continuous improvement.
Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers, fostering knowledge growth across the team.
Ensure high availability and reliability of services through proactive monitoring and automation.
Contribute to process improvements by identifying automation opportunities and suggesting technical enhancements.
Work collaboratively across geographically distributed teams to achieve performance and reliability goals
Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience automating tools, workflows, or tests.
Proficiency in Python or Shell scripting languages (Bash, sh, ksh, zsh).
Administrative experience with Jenkins or similar CI/CD automation platforms.
Working knowledge of Git or other version control systems.
Practical experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift).
User-level experience with virtualization platforms (VMware, VirtualBox).
Exposure to cloud technologies such as OpenStack, AWS, or Cloud Foundry.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve complex technical issues.
Excellent collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively across distributed teams.
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
Would be a plus:
Hands-on experience with IT automation tools like Ansible or Terraform.
Experience administering Zuul CI.
Familiarity with Windows, Linux, and macOS administration.
Background in embedded software development.
Programming experience in Java, Groovy, C++, or C#.
Understanding of the full software development lifecycle (SDLC).
Experience with ELK Stack, Kibana, Grafana, or other analytics and monitoring tools.
