Role Overview
We are looking for a Software Engineering Practice Lead who combines deep technical expertise, strong client-facing skills, and a passion for developing people. This role sits at the intersection of engineering excellence, client delivery, and practice growth.
As a Practice Lead, you are the technical authority and people leader for the Software Engineering Practice. You define how we build, how we scale, and how we grow engineers, while contributing hands-on to client engagements.
Key Responsibilities
Define and enforce technical standards and architecture
Provide hands-on technical leadership and guidance
Drive delivery quality and continuous improvement
Act as a senior technical advisor in client engagements
Contribute to presales and technical proposals
Lead and develop engineers and Squad Leads
Drive hiring, capability development, and knowledge sharing
Support practice strategy, assets, and frameworks
Collaboration on workforce planning and delivery alignment
How you work
You are hands-on, actively involved in architecture, technical problem-solving, and reviews. You balance client work with practice leadership and lead through coaching and collaboration.
What You Own
Technical standards and architecture
Delivery quality across engagements
Practice capability, performance management, and engineer development
Ability to influence decisions and build trusted partnerships
Structured and effective communicator (written and verbal)
Proven expertise in solution architecture and technical decisions
Strong knowledge of modern engineering (cloud, APIs, microservices, DevOps)
Experience with scalable, cloud-based architecture and multi-cloud environments
Ability to translate business needs into scalable solutions
Solid understanding of modern delivery models and architectures
Experience leading, mentoring, and coaching engineering teams
Strong capability in performance and talent development
Focus on building engaged, high-performing teams
Experience in pre-sales and solution design
Ability to develop proposals, POCs, and solution strategies
Strong understanding of client context and commercial drivers
