Software Packaging Tester

Responsibilities:
•Verify source files (MSI, MSP, EXE, copy files) and documentation for inconsistencies and mismatched information, ensuring accuracy before packaging (Source Check).
•Perform final testing on Virtual Machines (Windows 10, Windows 11, Windows Server 2019) to validate the correct implementation of requested configurations in packaged applications.
•Investigate application logs to detect errors in installation and uninstallation processes, ensuring proper functionality before deployment.
•Utilize Process Monitor to track real-time file system activity, identifying potential issues during installation and uninstallation.
•Create and maintain documentation to facilitate the Source Check and testing process, ensuring clarity and consistency across the team.
•Use CMD and PowerShell for troubleshooting, addressing issues in test environments where CMD Admin access is unavailable.
•Manage and track tasks/issues via Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence) to ensure effective communication.
•Collaborate with packagers and clients to resolve issues identified during source checks and testing, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
•Use InstallShield for testing purposes, validating installation packages and ensuring compatibility across different systems and environments.

•MSI Packaging, InstallShield, PowerShell Application Deployment Toolkit, Jira, Confluence, VBS Wrapper, Snow.
