Job Description - Sr Service Manager

A Day in Your Life at MKS:
As a Senior Manager Service Operations, you will be directly responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of the Repair Service Department in Bucharest, Romania. This role will also be interfacing with various local and global functions to align needed support from IT, Facilities, Quality, and HR. With passion and dedication, you will take on the following responsibilities:

You Will Make an Impact By:

  • Regularly interact with senior management or executive levels on matters concerning all functional areas within the facility, divisions, and/or customers
  • Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the Repair Service Department, maintaining quality, schedule, safety and cost requirements
  • Select, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
  • Ensure procedures and methods are followed
  • Promote and implement the Lean program, 6S methods, and Continuous Improvement Projects throughout the operation
  • Provide excellent service to all internal and external customers
  • Coordinate and provide support to the logistics and materials personnel to assure repair targets are met, as part of managing the receipt-to-ship process of customer repairs.



Skills You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and ideal 10+ years of related experience in a technical manufacturing and/or repair operations environment
  • Familiarity of MRP systems, Oracle is a plus
  • Excellent leadership, people management, communication and influencing skills at a senior level
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and spoken. Fluent English, German is a plus.
  • Ability and clearance to travel to the US upon hire for training and possible 5-10% travel thereafter.
