Structural Engineer for Buildings

Role description:

You will join our global Structural Engineering team, where our projects and development opportunities can fit various ambitions from 3D modeling and parametric design to Operate & Maintain digital methods. The delivery is secured through global collaboration platforms like BIM360, which allows engineers across various offices to work together seamlessly while maintaining clear visibility for our clients.

Role accountabilities:

• To work on multinational projects (from concept to execution) following the Eurocodes and client’s specific requirements;


• To take on a key role within the sector/discipline, winning work, providing leadership, technical advice and leading by example, where appropriate;


• To manage selected projects, design teams and/or design processes (or parts of projects) to meet agreed budget, quality and timeframe targets;


• To deliver fully documented designs to meet client objectives and Arcadis system requirements;


• To develop the technical competency of direct reports and ensure application of international standards and engineering knowledge in various projects. 

Qualifications & Experience:

Mandatory:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering;


• Minimum 5 years relevant design experience;


• Proficient in application of Eurocodes for reinforced concrete, steel, wooden and masonry buildings;


• Highly knowledgeable in structural engineering design fundamentals;


• Highly proficient in using engineering software like: SAP2000, ETABS, SAFE, ROBOT, TEDDS, etc


• Actively continue to develop personally and technical knowledge and new emerging technology;


• Great interpersonal skills (teamwork, supportive attitude, eagerness to learn, proactivity);


• Effective Communication: strong communication skills in Romanian and English to collaborate with team members, other disciplines and stakeholders.

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of SCIA Engineer;


• Knowledge of Idea Statica;


• Familiar with Autodesk Construction Cloud for document and revisions management;


• Interested in BIM concepts and workflows and their role in the job of an engineer;


• Programing and/or Mathcad knowledge is appreciated.


• Previous design experience for Western European markets is useful.
