About the Role

We are seeking a Studio Animations Programmer to join our team in Bucharest. In this role, you will be responsible for programming and operating lighting control systems that bring live events, broadcasts, virtual productions, and digital experiences to life. Youll collaborate closely with creative and technical teams to ensure seamless integration of lighting into both physical and virtual environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Program and operate advanced lighting control systems for live, broadcast, and virtual productions.

• Design and execute dynamic lighting sequences that respond to real-time inputs or scripted cues.

• Collaborate with creative, technical, and production teams to deliver immersive experiences.

• Translate creative concepts into programmable cue stacks, timelines, and pixel maps.

• Set up, troubleshoot, and maintain lighting equipment, including intelligent fixtures and pixel-based systems.

• Optimize lighting setups for both real-time rendering environments and broadcast requirements.

• Contribute to pre-production planning, rehearsals, and post-event evaluations.

• Document lighting setups, patching, and cue structures to ensure consistency and repeatability.

Requirements

• Fluent in English (C1 level), both written and spoken.

• Proven background in lighting design for gaming, esports, broadcast, or interactive productions.

• Hands-on experience with professional lighting control systems (live, broadcast, or virtual environments).

• Strong knowledge of DMX, Art-Net, sACN, and related control protocols.

• Experience with moving lights, LED arrays, and advanced lighting technologies.

• Familiarity with show control workflows, including synchronisation of lighting with video and audio.

• Knowledge of real-time rendering or streaming production environments (Unreal Engine, Unity is a plus).

• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure.

• Scripting or automation experience (e.g., Lua, Python, or similar for show control).

• Solid understanding of color theory and visual storytelling in digital and hybrid spaces.
