Your ‘day to day’

As Sustainability Specialist you will develop and implement the environment, health, safety (Sustainability) systems and programs, in accordance with company Principle and Practices, legal requirements and recognized best practices, in order to prevent injury and illness to employees, adverse effects to the environment, minimize the business impact of foreseeable losses and meet legal and company requirements. You will continually improve the system based on audit results, incident investigations, business and process changes, act as professional Sustainability reference and point of contact. Plan, Execute and Monitor functional Sustainability activities to ensure a mitigated risk level.

• Develop and implement environment, health, and safety systems and programmes, ensuring compliance and continuous improvement;

• Coordinate local projects and collaborate with global teams;


• Conduct audits, inspections, and risk assessments;


• Deliver training in occupational safety and environmental protection;


• Sustain and develop communication initiatives aimed at addressing loss-driven issues, changing mentality, and improving safety culture across the organization;


• Act as a professional reference for sustainability, supporting both internal and external EHS reporting;


• Review and update sustainability documentation and maintain the company’s Environmental Management System (EMS).

Who we’re looking for

• Similar experience in manufacturing company carrying out risk assessments in the workplace and investigating accidents;


• Fluent English and Romanian;


• Very good self-organization, follow up and with strong analytical skills;


• Ability to work collaboratively within a team, fostering a supportive environment, and embracing intercultural competence to ensure every perspective is valued;


• Interest in processes and the implementation of process improvements;


• Risk assessor course according to local legislation (mandatory);


• Experienced handling of the MS Office package;


• Knowledge of ISO standards (ISO 14001 and ISO 45001);


• Completed studies in engineering;


• Willingness to learn new things, assertive behavior;


• Passion for sustainability and willingness to go the extra mile;


• Active and communicative personality, good presentation skills;


• AWS, 0 Waste knowledge, will be considered an advantage;


• OPEN+ / IWS knowledge, will be considered an advantage.
