Job Description - IT Helpdesk Intern/6 Months Contract

The Opportunity  

 

Our internships provide students with an opportunity to experience work and life at PwC, offering a valuable insight into our business and culture. 

 

What we are looking for from a candidate:

• Best fit for students at Cybernetics, Computer Sciences or Technology faculties;
• Ability to adapt to a fast and demanding environment;
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with end users;
• A fundamental understanding of operating systems (like Windows and macOS);
• Ability to analyze and diagnose basic technical problems and find quick solutions;
• Ability to handle multiple requests and prioritize tasks to ensure prompt resolution of user issues;
• Adherence to work schedule and deadlines;
• Taking responsibility for one's actions and tasks and ensuring they are completed to high standards;
• Attention to Detail;
• Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and contribute to the team's common goals;

What will you do as an intern?

• Shadow Seniors on the job;
• Gradually independently handling IT general controls work in less complex environment duly supervised by seniors;
• Follow the work procedures;
• Prepare laptops and smartphones to be allocated to employees (installing operating systems and work applications);
• Receive and allocate equipment to/from employees;
• Keep the database information regarding equipment allocation up to date;
• Maintain the order of the equipment stock and conduct periodic inventory of the equipment;
• Perform basic troubleshooting of technical issues;
• Create data backups;
• Copy data onto external storage media;
