About the role

We are looking for an Intern to join our Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team, part of the broader Cloud DevOps organization, with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure cloud environments.
In this role, you will apply software engineering principles to infrastructure and operations, working with Azure-based services to ensure system reliability, scalability, and performance. You will contribute to building and maintaining resilient cloud-native systems while supporting modern DevOps and SRE practices.

Responsibilities:

· Ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of applications running in Microsoft Azure
· Automate operational processes using scripting and Azure-native tools and services
· Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to improve CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions)
· Monitor systems using observability tools (e.g., Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics)
· Understand end-to-end flows across distributed cloud systems at both technical and business levels
· Perform root cause analysis on incidents and implement preventive solutions
· Support incident management, troubleshooting, and resolution in production environments
· Contribute to infrastructure as code practices using tools such as Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep
· Promote SRE and DevOps best practices, including reliability engineering, alerting, and scalability design
· Help ensure applications meet production readiness standards in a cloud-native environment

Qualifications:

· Strong background in computer science fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, distributed systems)
· Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Python, Java, C#, or Go)
· Familiarity with software development practices (testing, version control, CI/CD)
· Basic understanding of Microsoft Azure services (compute, networking, storage)
· Exposure to containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes / AKS) is a plus
· Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, ARM, Bicep) is a plus
· Knowledge of monitoring and logging concepts in cloud environments
· SQL and database experience is a plus
· Web technologies (JavaScript, CSS, React) are a plus
· Strong problem-solving mindset and attention to detail
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Strong entrepreneurial spirit and willingness to learn
· Curiosity and adaptability in working with evolving cloud technologies

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
