The team
The Deloitte South Asia strategic growth team serves as a central pillar driving growth and transformation within DSA, spanning several business lines and various technology functions. We are established as a centralized team collaborating across consulting, implementation, and operation to maintain and enhance client value offerings and services. We innovate conventional approaches, leveraging Deloitte technology, differentiated domain expertise, intellectual property, talent, and capacity to embed continuous advantage and deliver enhanced business value.
In this team, our focus is on catering to the unique needs and preferences of clients in the South Asia region. Your role within this dynamic team is essential for establishing networks and relationships across the client stakeholder ecosystem and ensuring service fulfillment. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with other Deloitte leadership and stakeholders dedicated to the client. Your contributions will involve nurturing new and existing relationships, supporting presales life cycles, and playing a pivotal role in driving the success of DSA business growth for the specific client.

Your work profile
We are seeking a highly skilled SAP Project Systems (PS) Consultant with strong functional expertise, technical capability, and exceptional communication skills. The consultant will be responsible for driving SAP PS solution delivery in a complex SAP–MSD integration landscape. This includes understanding completed Phase 1 deliverables, stabilizing ongoing Phase 2 requirements, and collaborating closely with both business stakeholders and the Microsoft Dynamics team.
The ideal consultant should be confident, proactive, and able to independently interact with business teams, gather requirements, propose end-to-end solutions, and produce high-quality functional and technical documentation.
Key Responsibilities
A. Functional Expertise & Solution Design
· Lead SAP PS solutioning for business requirements across project structuring, budgeting, procurement integration, cost planning, settlements, revenue recognition, and project monitoring.
· Provide holistic and scalable solutions aligning with S/4HANA 2023 best practices.
· Ability to quickly understand the Phase 1 deliverables, including existing integrations, configurations, and business processes.
· Analyze Phase 2 scope, identify gaps, dependencies, and propose robust solutions.
B. SAP & MSD Integration Collaboration
· Work closely with the Microsoft Dynamics (MSD) team to ensure successful end-to-end process integration.
· Understand the integration architecture between SAP PS and MSD modules (Finance, Operations, Project Accounting, etc.).
· Support debugging of interface issues (IDoc, API, middleware, message logs).
· Provide input for test scenarios, data mapping, field alignment, and cross-system validation.
C. Technical Understanding & Documentation
· Should possess strong technical awareness in areas related to:
o Master data structures
o Integration objects
o PS-related data flows
o Enhancement points
o User exits / BADIs
· Ability to write clear and detailed:
o Functional Specifications (FS)
o Technical Specifications (TS) (in collaboration with ABAP team)
o Integration documents
o Test scripts (UT, SIT, UAT)
o Process documents and Solution Design Documents
· Collaborate with ABAP and BASIS teams during development, testing, and deployment cycles.
D. Business Interaction & Stakeholder Management
· Conduct workshops with business users, gather detailed requirements, and validate them.
· Present solution designs, impact assessments, and change recommendations.
· Act as the single point of contact (SPOC) for SAP PS within the project.
· Maintain crisp communication, ensuring alignment with business expectations and timelines.
E. Project Execution
· Work in an agile/iterative project environment aligned with Phase 2 timelines.
· Support unit testing, SIT, UAT, and cutover activities.
· Troubleshoot defects and propose effective resolutions quickly.
· Coordinate with cross-functional teams (FI/CO, MM, SD, PP, PM, and Integration teams).
· Ensure compliance with project standards, documentation templates, and governance.
3. Technical & Functional Skills Required
Core SAP PS Expertise
· Deep knowledge of SAP PS structures: WBS, Networks, Activities, Milestones
· Planning functions: Cost Planning, Revenue Planning, Resource Planning
· Budgeting & AVC
· Project Costing, Allocations, Settlements
· Project Procurement integration (MM, SD)
· Results Analysis & Revenue Recognition
· Project Billing
· Reporting (CJI3, S_ALR reports, SAP Fiori apps)
Integration & Cloud Skills
· Strong understanding of integration between SAP S/4HANA and Microsoft Dynamics (MSD)
· Ability to work with middleware (CPI, PI/PO, API-based integrations)
· Understanding of SAP Cloud capabilities and integration patterns.
Technical Awareness
(Not a developer role but should have strong working knowledge)
· BADIs, Enhancements, User Exits
· IDoc structures & processing
· Fiori apps relevant to PS
· Debugging basics
· Data migration concepts (LSMW, BAPIs, staging)
Experience Required
· 8–15 years of experience in SAP PS (must have multiple end-to-end implementations)
· Prior experience in integration-heavy projects (preferably with MSD or similar systems)
· Experience working in S/4HANA On-Premise 2023 environment is highly preferred
· Strong experience in writing FS, TS, solution documents, and user training materials
· Ability to work independently with business leadership
