JOB TITLE

Business Development Associate Manager - KSA | MAF Retail | Head Office

ROLE SUMMARY

The Business Development Associate Manager is responsible for managing leasing and lease administration activities related to subleases within MAF Retail business, coordinating with retailers/tenants, internal teams - both in Country and CORP HO i.e. operations, finance and legal. The role holder is also responsible for market research, tenant prospecting, leasing negotiations, lease contract process management, tenant performance monitoring and lease renewal process, as per Leasing Committee

ROLE PROFILE

• Manage leasing and lease administration projects within Retail shopping malls, Carrefour hypermarkets and supermarkets for subletting of retail shops, services, Kiosks, ATMs, etc.
• Prepare and issue agreement for the tenant - shops, ATMs, Kiosks, etc. in coordination with legal department, and ensuring timely tenant agreement signatures.
• Develop and propose effective leasing strategies to optimize revenue generation (through fixed and casual leasing, marketing, alternative income) and targeted occupancy rates.
• Ensure any Leasing DOA exception to leases (terms and condition or rental terms) are correctly recorded and approved by LC.
• Perform market research, field studies, etc. to develop clear understanding of local retail and mall industry, leasing conditions & practices, customer and competitor/mall information.
• Prepare and issue tenant notices, circulars, warning and penalty notice as advised by Head of Department and Follow-up on tenant communications till completion.
• Maintain lease rental charts with up-to-date leasing rates by category – food, non-food, kiosk, ATMs, etc. as per the recommendation of LC – By Country.
• Assist in implementation of the performance management process by setting objectives, monitoring performance, and provide constructive feedback and provide inputs to senior management.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration preferably in Sales, Marketing & Finance.
• 5+ years of professional work experience and retail experience will be a plus.
• Real estate experience is a must.
• Legal background is preferably (knowledge of agreements, terms & conditions).
• Good communication and negotiation skills.
