Environmental Risk Manager

Location: Riyadh, KSA.
Project Duration: 1 years, subject to extension. 
Years of experience: 12 years. 
Language Requirements: Fluency in both Arabic and English (written and spoken). We are looking for a skilled Environmental Risk Manager to join our partner company's team in KSA. This role requires leading the team's efforts in identifying, assessing, and mitigating environmental risks, and involves developing strategies, ensuring compliance, and fostering environmental responsibility.

 

Responsibilities:

• Identify and assess potential environmental risks associated with the company's operations.
• Develop and implement environmental risk management strategies and initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards.
• Work closely with other departments to integrate environmental risk management into the company's overall risk management framework.
• Provide training and guidance to staff on environmental risk management.
• Prepare reports on environmental risk management activities for senior management.
• Stay up-to-date with developments in environmental regulations and risk management practices.
• Work with external consultants and auditors to conduct environmental risk assessments.
• Participate in the development of environmental policies and procedures.
• Manage environmental incidents and emergencies, and coordinate response efforts.
• Develop and implement environmental risk mitigation measures.
• Work with stakeholders to address environmental concerns and issues.
• Participate in environmental audits and inspections.
• Manage relationships with regulatory bodies and environmental agencies.
• Promote a culture of environmental responsibility within the company.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Risk Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience in environmental risk management.
• Knowledge of environmental regulations and standards.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
