Job Purpose
The COO is responsible for managing the physical environment, ensuring regulatory compliance within operations, hospitality, supply chain, IT and safety policies in addition to managing financial sustainability, and promoting quality of care and patients’ satisfaction. This position plays a critical role in supporting the overall mission and objectives of the organization while upholding the highest standards of professionalism and integrity. It is crucial in Developing and executing emergency preparedness plans, and make sure outsourced services staff are able respond effectively to potential patient needs.

Strategic Contribution
• Plan for a long-term strategic contribution for the facility, supply chain, Engineering and IT departments including expansion projects, service enhancements, and community outreach initiatives.
Budgets & Plans
• Work closely with the Finance Director to develop and manage budgets for the operations, IT, supply chain, engineering, and biomedical engineering departments.
• Monitor financial performance versus the budget so that the business identifies opportunities to reduce costs and increase revenue while maintaining high-quality patient care
Responsibilities:
• Lead Strategic projects related to the enhancements of services/patient care protocols.
• Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure efficient and effective delivery of healthcare services.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency and patient care.
• Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and execute strategic initiatives to achieve organizational goals
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to evaluate operational performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Develop and implement IT strategies to support the hospital's goals and objectives.
• Oversee the implementation and maintenance of electronic health records (EHR) systems and other healthcare technologies.
• Ensure compliance with data security and privacy regulations (such as HIPAA) to protect patient information.
• Oversee the supply chain strategy & Processes including the procurement and inventory of medical supplies, equipment, and pharmaceuticals to minimize costs and optimize inventory levels.
•Lead the hospital procurement by developing and managing Purchasing capabilities and ensuring proper implementation of leading-edge strategies by the supply chain department.
• Oversee facility management, including maintenance and repair of buildings, equipment, and utilities.
• Develop and oversee capital improvement plans to upgrade infrastructure and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to facility safety and environmental standards.
• Oversee the maintenance and calibration of medical equipment and devices to ensure
proper functionality.
• Work alongside clinical management to assess equipment needs and implement
technology upgrades.
• Stay abreast of advancements in medical technology and recommend investments in new
equipment or systems that will affect patient quality of care strategy.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations and accreditation standards
(e.g., CBAHI, Joint Commission).
• Identify opportunities to reduce costs and increase revenue while maintaining high-quality
patient care.
• Work to create a positive environment; related to the hospitality, services for patients and
their families.
• Oversee the Operations protocols to ensure adhering to standards of cleanliness, and safety of the physical environment, including patient rooms, common areas, and medical
facilities Ensuring compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations, including those set forth by state and federal agencies (e.g., CMS, OSHA, HIPAA).
• Develop contingency plans & policies and oversee the reports regarding emergency
preparedness plans to address potential problems of crises.
• Analyze data related to patient outcomes, safety incidents, and facility operations,
systems errors, suppliers’ cycle to identify areas for improvement.
• Assure that Hospital licenses and accreditation are updated and complete.
