Job Description

  • I have always have the co-worker in focus in all my efforts
  • I ensure that I use all co-worker feedback and learn from their experiences, ideas and views in order to continuously improve our HR services.
  • I work with my HR colleagues to ensure that we are closely connected to all our stores/units and understand what is working and what is not from the co-workers’ perspective.
  • I will coordinate on boarding of Service Office colleagues and introduction activities and act as IKEA ambassador towards our new coworkers
  • I will coordinate all my activities together with my direct colleagues to enable a crystal clear picture of the status of employee services within IKEA KSA.
  • Advice, update and train managers/co-workers in all HR related policies, procedures and programs.
  • I Support co-workers in questions related to employment and development within IKEA.
  • I ensure that country specific and labor related laws are followed.
  • I Provide and administrate information from HRMS platform for updating.
  • I Prepare and maintain required reporting including HR KPI's
  • I create an environment where the IKEA culture is a living reality that embraces the diversity of coworkers and the market.
  • I Take responsibility for /participate in projects and other tasks within the HR field as assigned.
  • I Support in car issuance, company housing contracts documentation and insurance issues
  • I coordinate with travel agencies to book flights for co-workers annual leave
  • I prepare and deliver work contracts to new joiners and send contract renewal notifications to department manager notifying them about the renewal of their subordinates contracts
  • I work closely with country administration manager in case of terminations and resignations of co-workers in service office to expedite the process.
  • I maintain co-workers medical cards records and coordinate the process of new medical cards issuance for co-workers and their dependents.
  • I act as the point of contact for travel agencies and vendors
  • I work closely with the country administration manager to provide leave plan tool and produce reports accordingly
  • I produce monthly report to monitor sick leaves and inform relevant department managers about high sickness rates in their departments
  • I keep close contact with compound managers to maintain company compounds in a good condition all the time
  • Implementing rules and guidelines in the areas of co-workers services in my Country.
  • I conduct tertial inventory on employees files to ensure compliance with labor laws and maintain the basics of co-workers files management
  • I work with government relation officer on the attestation of official documents for people and commercial purposes
  • I am always available to help and support colleagues in my own department and in other areas of the organization when needed.
  • I work together with other functions to improve the working at IKEA experience for our co-workers in order to maximize their efficiency
  • I value other colleagues’ ways of working and I learn from those who work differently to me.
  • I pass on my knowledge to colleagues and encourage them to do the same.
  • I keep my colleagues informed so that they can perform their roles effectively.
  • I am responsible for my own development and look to my manager to support me in improving my competence
  • I highlight possible development in processes related to my area of responsibility
  • I support in annual leave plan and budget preparation
  • I produce monthly productivity reports for the stores
  • I coordinate with finance department to expedite payments of different types to vendors and co-workers
  • I produce monthly manpower reports to monitor staff cost in alignment with the approved manpower budget for stores
  • I produce monthly reports on business trips usage in service office and stores
  • I know our department action plan and support the goals and targets given to me by mymanager which ensures the delivery of this plan.
  • I understand the impact of my actions on the financial results of my area and know which results I have influence over.
  • I look for more effective ways of working to reduce costs.
  • I ensure all my actions grow our business and support the sustaining of long-term profitability.

Qualifications

  • Experience in employee service
  • Excellent computer skills
  • English and Arabic language skills, both spoken and written
  • 5 Years of human resources experience
  • Excellent knowledge in local labor law
  • University degree (Social, Pedagogic, HR, Economic or related ) or equivalent in working experience
  • Experience of working in an IKEA store or other retail company
