SummaryThis position is responsible for to fulfil the local demands for import and export, local transport, delivery and follow up of intercompany orders.
Job ResponsibilitiesEducation: Bachelor's degree in a Technical or Business discipline from an accredited university or college.
Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics. Previous Middle East experience is preferred. Good knowledge of local customs, laws and regulations. Good knowledge in international freight forwarding and shipping. Basic understanding of international customs laws. Previous experience with EPC contractor or industrial manufacturing. Previous experience in SAP. Previous experience in Logistics Contract development, management and administration. Knowledge of inventory management practices and principles.
Desired Characteristics Knowledge of business administration, management and financial principles. Demonstrated knowledge and experience with purchasing techniques.
Skills and Abilities: In-depth conceptual and practical knowledge in own job discipline and basic knowledge of related job disciplines. Knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market. Ability to explain difficult or sensitive information; works to build consensus. Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with outside vendors. Competent with Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) Proficient in written and reading comprehension of English & Arabic is preferred. Ability to focus on and bring to conclusion to multiple tasks. Ability to work under pressure and on own initiative. Ability to pre-empt situations and react positively. Organized and methodical, high integrity and ethical values. Ability to negotiate and communicate at all levels to coordinate tasks effectively between different departments.
