The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure compliance with importation regulations and facilitate a seamless clearance process for our medical devices. The Logistics Quality Specialist will work closely with the Regulatory Affairs department, coordinating the validation of customer clearance processes and obtaining necessary permits for successful importation. This position will also utilize the Danaher Business System (DBS) to drive excellence and continuous improvement in logistics operations. Job Requirements Include: Importation Compliance: Ensure compliance with importation regulations by reviewing and validating importation documents to ensure accuracy and adherence to local requirements. Customs Clearance Validation: Collaborate with the Regulatory Affairs department to validate the customs clearance process, ensuring that all necessary requirements are met for the timely and efficient release of medical devices. Permit Coordination: Coordinate with the Regulatory Affairs department to obtain and maintain valid permits required for successful importation, such as the Medical Device Marketing Authorization (MDMA) and other relevant permits. Platform Submissions: Submit all required permits, including FASAH, SABER, and MDIL, through the respective authorities' platforms in a timely and accurate manner to facilitate the importation process. DBS Implementation: Utilize the principles and tools of the Danaher Business System (DBS) to drive excellence and continuous improvement in logistics operations. Identify areas for improvement, implement best practices, and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs). Compliance Monitoring: Develop and maintain a system to monitor and track compliance with importation regulations, permits, and documentation. Conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to quality standards. Coordination with Regulatory Affairs: Collaborate closely with the Regulatory Affairs department to ensure alignment and coordination in obtaining necessary permits and complying with regulatory requirements. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work effectively with internal teams, including Supply Chain, Regulatory Affairs, and Customs Clearance, to ensure smooth coordination of importation processes and resolve any issues or challenges that may arise. Training and Education: Provide training and guidance to internal stakeholders on importation regulations, documentation requirements, and permit processes to ensure a thorough understanding of compliance standards. Qualifications and Education Requirements
• Bachelor s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge and experience in importation regulations and requirements for medical devices in Saudi Arabia.
• Experience in validating customs clearance processes and coordinating with regulatory affairs for necessary permits, including the MDMA.
• Proficiency in submitting permits through authorities' platforms such as FASAH, SABER, and MDIL.
REQUIRED BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES
• Familiarity with utilizing the principles and tools of the Danaher Business System (DBS) or other continuous improvement methodologies.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze complex information.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
• Fluent in both written and spoken English and Arabic.
