JOB PURPOSE:
The Manager Operations Sustainability is responsible for managing flight operations sustainability program, ensures the sustainability program is designed, implemented, and managed to reduce the flight operations environmental impact, and oversees implementing environmental initiatives to maximize Riyadh Air operational efficiency, ensuring compliance with the national and international environmental regulations and aligning with the industry best practices to reduce the flight operations carbon footprint.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Develop and implement Riyadh Air’s Flight Operations Sustainability Program to meet the regulatory requirements and company’s sustainability objectives.
- Monitor and analyze the implemented fuel efficiency and SAF initiatives to ensure the effectiveness of the programs.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency including fuel efficiency and develop the implementation plans with all operational teams involved (OCC, pilots, maintenance and operations engineering) to ensure a streamlined safe and effective implementation.
- Use of data analytics to optimize overall airline operational efficiency and reduce cost including fleet, maintenance, crew and fuel.
- Monitor fuel consumption and all KPIs to identify trends and opportunities to improve fuel usage and reduce carbon emissions.
- Stay up to date with the latest trends and technologies related to aviation fuel efficiency such as new analytic solutions, or new aircraft designs to identify opportunities to enhance the overall flight operations department efficiency and sustainability.
- Ensure compliance with the latest regulations regarding the carbon offsetting programs such as CORSIA, EU ETS, UK ETS.
- Assist in the implementation of the carbon offsetting programs and carbon emissions reduction in line with the latest national and international regulations.
- Assist in the effective implementation of the company sustainability vision.
- Support Training and Pilot engagement activities with regards to fuel saving and operational efficiency initiatives to meet the operations department’s continued improvement goals.
- Administrate the Fuel Management System and coordination with vendors for feature development of the system.
- Develop and monitor the SAF program to meet the company’s sustainability objectives .
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience within an airline flight operations environment.
- Experience in Fuel Efficiency leadership function is an advantage.
ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Aviation, Engineering or another relevant field
- Holding an Airline Transport Pilot License is an advantage.
