ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Merchandising Operations Manager at Gisou, you will play a pivotal role in translating our brand's seasonal campaigns into tangible merchandise requirements. You will oversee the end-to-end process of merchandise planning, production, and distribution, ensuring alignment with our brand vision, customer needs, and business objectives. Reporting to the Head of Operations, you will lead a cross-functional team and collaborate closely with creative, marketing, and procurement teams to bring our product offerings to life.

• Merchandise Planning: Collaborate cross-functionally with the creative, marketing, digital and supply chain teams to understand seasonal campaign themes and translate them into merchandise requirements, including product assortment, quantities, and distribution channels.
• Vendor Management: Identify, onboard, and manage relationships with vendors, manufacturers, and suppliers to ensure timely production, quality control, and cost-effectiveness of merchandise.
• Project Management: Lead the overall project management of merchandise initiatives, including timelines, milestones, and deliverables, to ensure seamless execution and alignment with campaign launch schedules.
• Cost Management: Develop and maintain budgets for merchandise production, logistics, and distribution, optimizing costs while ensuring product quality and brand integrity.
• Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, sales trends, and demand forecasts to make data-driven decisions regarding product allocation, replenishment, and markdown strategies.
• Channel Strategy: Determine online/offline availability of merchandise, collaborating with e-commerce and retail teams to optimize distribution channels and maximize sales opportunities.
• Influencer Partnerships: Collaborate with the communications team on Influencer send-outs and collaborations, coordinating product selection, packaging, and delivery to enhance brand visibility and drive engagement.
• Sustainability Initiatives: Drive sustainability initiatives within the merchandise operations, such as sourcing eco-friendly materials, optimizing packaging, and supporting ethical manufacturing practices.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Bachelors Degree / level thinking
• Product development background in (ideally) merchandising items, accessories or fashion

• 4+ years of experience in merchandising, operations management, or supply chain management, preferably in the beauty or fashion industry.
• Proven track record of successfully managing end-to-end merchandise operations, including planning, production, and distribution.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent analytical skills, with proficiency in inventory management, sales forecasting, and cost analysis.
• Experience in vendor management, negotiation, and contract administration.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
• Passion for sustainability and ethical practices in the beauty industry.
