Job Description - Purchasing Officer- Foregin

Job Requirements:

  1. Job location: Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
  2. Education: Bachelor degree in Supply Chain / Business Administration.
  3. Experience: 2 years’ experience in Foreign Purchasing.
  4. Languages: English.

Tasks :

  1. Following up purchase orders, tracking them and making the requested purchasing operations and procedures.
  2. Interact with suppliers on a daily basis to resolve transaction issues.
  3. Responsible for appropriate supplier selection/bidding/evaluation processes for selected purchase requests, and supplier and contract pricing validation for all purchase requests.
  4. Resolving invoice price and terms discrepancies to enable order processing.
  5. Receiving the purchase requests, specifying the expected date of supply, and addressing the stakeholders' parties to notify them the merchandizing, planning, logistic, finance.
  6. Issue a purchase order to the supplier with the best price considering the quality to start the procurement process.
  7. Sending the approved purchase order to the supplier in addition to handing over the original of the file to the financial management to proceed with the payment procedures.
  8. Follow-up supply with the supplier as well as follow-up warehouses in the completion of the examination and add-on procedures to start the process of payment of supplier's receivables.
  9. Coordinate with the supplier / logistic team regarding the expected shipping time.
  10. Follow up the arrival of the goods and coordinate with the logistic team.
  11. Follow up the payment with Finance according to the revised suppliers SOA.
  12. Find new sources of supply if needed.

Skills requirements:

  1. Strong written and verbal communication
  2. Team oriented, Goal-oriented
  3. Excellent knowledge of Microsoft office applications, specifically in Excel.
  4. Strong attention to details
  5. Negotiation skills
  6. Familiar with ERP systems, preferably Oracle system
