Job Description:
The Operations Manager at Saudi Railways Organization is responsible for overseeing all operational activities related to the railway system in Mecca. This role requires a high level of expertise in railway operations, as well as strong leadership skills to effectively manage a team of employees.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement operational strategies to optimize the efficiency and effectiveness of the railway system. 2. Supervise and coordinate the daily operations of the railway, including scheduling, maintenance, and safety protocols. 3. Manage a team of employees, providing guidance and support to ensure that operational goals are met. 4. Monitor key performance indicators and financial metrics to assess the overall performance of the railway system. 5. Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of operations with other functions within the organization. 6. Stay informed about industry trends and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance with all relevant standards. 7. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and implement changes to enhance operational efficiency. 8. Handle any operational issues or emergencies that may arise, working quickly and decisively to resolve them. 9. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, suppliers, and customers. 10. Prepare reports and presentations on operational performance for senior management.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. 2. Minimum of 8 years of experience in railway operations, with at least 3 years in a managerial role. 3. Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and inspire a team. 4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 5. Proven track record of success in optimizing operational processes and driving efficiency. 6. Ability to think strategically and make sound decisions under pressure. 7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other relevant software applications. 8. Knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices in railway operations. 9. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively about solutions. 10. Resilient and driven, with a strong work ethic and a commitment to achieving results.
