We seek a skilled Railway Ballast Wagon Technician to join our team. The Railway Ballast Wagon Technician will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and operation of railway ballast wagons to support the smooth functioning of railway tracks and infrastructure. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety. Key Responsibilities: Perform maintenance and repair tasks on railway ballast wagons to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
Conduct inspections and diagnostics to identify mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic issues.
Carry out preventive maintenance activities to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of equipment.
Assist in the loading and unloading of ballast material onto/from wagons using appropriate equipment.
Operate machinery such as cranes, forklifts, or other specialized equipment safely and efficiently.
Coordinate with railway personnel to schedule maintenance activities and prioritize tasks based on operational requirements.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents, injuries, and damage to equipment.
Stay informed about regulatory requirements and industry best practices related to railway operations and maintenance.
