Job Purpose: Assistant Construction Manager (Airport Terminal Construction Logistics Background)

We are looking for a dedicated Assistant Construction Manager with a strong background in construction logistics, specifically with experience in airport construction projects. The ideal candidate will support the Construction Manager in coordinating logistics activities, ensuring smooth operations, and maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory requirements throughout the project lifecycle.

Job Responsibilities

1. Functional Logistics Coordination: Assist in developing and implementing logistics plans for airport terminal construction projects, including material handling, traffic management, and site access.
2. Resource Management: Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment to support construction activities.
3. Safety and Compliance: Work closely with safety officers to enforce safety protocols, conduct regular inspections, and ensure compliance with airport regulations and industry standards.
4. Schedule Monitoring: Assist in monitoring project schedules, identifying potential delays or bottlenecks, and implementing corrective actions to keep the project on track.
5. Quality Assurance: Support quality control efforts by conducting inspections, addressing non-conformities, and ensuring that construction work meets quality standards and specifications.
6. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of logistics activities, procurement orders, and inventory levels. Generate reports on logistics performance, resource utilization, and budget tracking.
7. Stakeholder Communication: Facilitate communication between project stakeholders, including contractors, vendors, airport authorities, and regulatory agencies, to resolve issues and address concerns promptly.
8. Risk Management: Identify potential risks related to logistics operations, such as supply chain disruptions or resource shortages, and develop risk mitigation strategies.

Job Requirements - Qualification & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Logistics, Engineering, or related field. Relevant certifications or coursework in construction logistics is a plus. 6-8 years of experience in construction project management, with a focus on logistics, preferably in airport terminal construction or related projects. Knowledge of logistics principles, supply chain management, and procurement processes within the construction industry. Familiarity with airport terminal operations, security protocols, and regulatory requirements (e.g., FAA regulations for airports in the U.S.).

Job Requirements - Skills

Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective coordination and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. Proficiency in project management software, scheduling tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
