Job Description

Highly experienced Arabic Speaking Commercial and Contract Engineer with a minimum of 8 years of experience in Construction, specifically in Complex Projects to work as main contractor representative in a mega project owned by PIF (Public Investment Fund).

KSA/ Arabian Gulf experience is a must and the availability inside KSA is an advantage.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Review and analyze contracts for Construction Complex Projects, identifying potential risks and opportunities.
• Draft contractual / commercial correspondence, Subcontracts, Purchase Orders, notices to the stakeholders.
• Resolve any contractual disputes and claims in a timely and cost-effective manner.
• Coordinate with project team to ensure compliance with contract requirements and project milestones.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant local laws and regulations.
• Prepare contract variations / changes proposals and assist in cost impact / risk analysis evaluations.
• Prepare, submit, and negotiate various claim types (Time and cost, EOT, disruption, and additional payments).
• Contribute to value engineering / cost saving exercises.
• Prepare and manage main/sub-contractors’ interim payment applications.
• Contribute to the preparation of quantities take-off sheets.
• Prepare financial progress reports, claims, and change logs.

Education and Certifications:

• Member, associate, or enrolled candidate of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS, AssocRICS, APC candidate) Certified Cost professional (CCP)or equivalent are advantages.

Knowledge and Experience:

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in commercial and contracts management.
• Main Contractor background is a must.
• Familiar with FIDIC forms of contracts.
• Familiar with KSA Public Works Contract form and related Governmental Regulations.
• Solid understanding of projects quantification and costing.
• Aware of construction project management aspects.

Language:

• Very good level of English is a must.
