Full Stack Engineer

Position Description

Our client is seeking a senior software engineer to join the Drilling and Workover Systems Division within the Petroleum Engineering Applications Services Department. This division supports various drilling and workover departments within the Upstream sector by providing advanced solutions for scheduling, budgeting, well construction, and operations. As a senior software engineer in this division, you will be responsible for developing applications and systems that optimize drilling and workover processes. Additionally, you will utilize statistical information to provide data insights and support informed decision-making. Your role will also involve requirement gathering and analysis.

Minimum Requirements

1. Hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field
2. Have a minimum of five years of experience in computer science, with at least two years in data science
3. Possess experience in Angular application development , including web front-end development using HTML5, JavaScript, and CSS3, Angular 11+, and writing unit test cases in JasmineJS and end-to-end frameworks
4. Have experience in Java web development , particularly middle-tier development using the Pivotal Spring framework with MVC software architecture

Duties And Responsibilities

• Managing the software development life cycle and requirement gathering process
• Identifying opportunities to enhance drilling and workover applications
• Developing systems that automate drilling and workover processes using Industry 4.0 solutions
• Researching and developing innovative solutions for drilling and workover operations
• Collaborating with business stakeholders to understand needs and objectives and propose and implement solutions
• Mentoring junior personnel and providing consultancy in business intelligence, machine learning, and data science
• Leading development projects to address challenges faced by upstream professionals
• Improving the user interface and user experience of in-house applications
• Identifying cost-saving opportunities through solution implementations
• Publishing technical findings in journal articles and intra-company meetings
