We are seeking an experienced Procurement Engineer for a w ell known Saudi company operating across 15 sectors, including construction, energy, chemicals, and mining.
The Procurement Engineer will be responsible for managing all procurement activities related to construction projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective sourcing of materials, equipment, and services while maintaining quality standards and adhering to project specifications.
Key Accountabilities
• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with project objectives, timelines, and budget constraints in the oil and gas sector.
• Source, evaluate, and select suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors for construction materials, equipment, and services, considering quality, cost, and compliance.
• Lead contract negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms, including pricing, delivery schedules, and warranties, while minimizing risks.
• Collaborate with project stakeholders to understand requirements and provide technical expertise throughout the procurement process.
• Manage the procurement process from requisition to delivery, ensuring timely issuance of RFQs, bid evaluation, and contract award.
• Monitor supplier performance, track delivery schedules, and resolve issues promptly to maintain project progress.
• Conduct regular supplier assessments, identify improvement opportunities, and enhance supplier relationships.
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, including safety and environmental requirements.
• Maintain accurate procurement documentation, records, and reports to support project tracking and budgeting.
• Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements to identify cost-saving opportunities and enhance project outcomes.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
We Are Looking For:
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (preferred) or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in procurement for industrial projects.
• Fluent in English.
• Strong understanding of procurement processes, procedures, and standards.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of industry best practices, emerging trends, and regulatory requirements in procurement for the industrial sector.
