Job Description

Responsible for all bidding activities preferably experienced in bidding of EPC tenders related to PG.

Desired Candidate Profile

Bid Preparation & Submission Activities:

• Responsible for all estimation and contract management for bids related to Open / closed / Combine Cycle / Thermal Power Plants including producing BOQ, preparing RFPs, seeking, and evaluating technical and commercial offer and preparing a composite bid.
• Shall be having excellent knowledge and skill in design or design review activities of Layouts/section, process design, HMBD, water balance, preparation of the Equipment List, Electrical Load list, inputs for Civil, piping works etc.
• Shall be able to draw material take off for the process including piping, valves and other equipment's.
• Experience of around 10 to 15 Years in this field.
• To study the complete tender documents, Drawings & Specifications provided by Client and to prepare layout of the projects.
• Responsible for attending JEM, Site Visit and collecting all the required data.
• Prepare clarifications, BOQ and RFP based on project tender documents.
• Float enquiries into the market to collect offers from Vendors/suppliers/sub-contractors.
• Evaluate manufacturer’s techno commercial offers to assess the price for the complete scope by preparing the Comparisons.
• Responsible for all estimation and contract management for bids including producing BOQ, seeking and evaluating technical and commercial offer and preparing a composite bid.
• Preparation of Consolidated Cost summary of the project including Material, Labor, equipment Cost, direct cost / indirect cost, Site management, Finance cost along with preliminary overall margin to management review.
• Preparation of Technical offer along with necessary submittal, Clarifications, drawings, layout, Project Schedule, Manpower Resources, Project Organization Chart & other documents required by the client.
• Preparation of bid tender PPT along with project scope, number of bidders participating and risk to the management for their review and accord.
• Responsible to close all the post bid clarifications and any open issues with client and the vendors.
• Float enquiries into the market to collect offers from Vendors/suppliers/sub-contractors.
• Preparation of Consolidated Cost of the project including Material, Labor & equipment Cost for all disciplines such as civil, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation & any other specialized scope.
• Participate in the finalization of P.O. for the awarded projects., vendor recommendation and purchase order review.
• Provide technical support in meetings with clients, vendors, and sub-contractors.
• Carefully studying the tender scope and site visit and prepare a comprehensive risk analysis by coordinating with all disciplines such as civil, mechanical, instrumentation, electrical & any other specialized scope.
• Excellent knowledge of bidding activities preferably experienced in bidding of EPC tenders
• Expert knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards.
• Understanding all facets of the construction process.
• Bachelor's degree in the field of Mechanical/Power Engineering from the reputed institute with excellent academic records.
