Profile
Overview The Planning Manager is responsible for managing the assigned project level monitoring, control, scheduling activities. He/she develops the capability and supervises the performance for all program planning / scheduling development, analysis, reporting and progress evaluation
Responsibilities
Creating Baseline cost and resource loaded schedules from first principles using Primavera P6 Reporting on the progress of the schedules using reporting practices such as Earned Value techniques Presenting Schedule updates to the management team, and preparing visual presentations of the schedule Presenting solutions to Schedule slippages to the management team Assist the wider project team in Project Management duties – this could be in the form of preparing visual reports or presentations or chasing actions from the wider stakeholders.
Assist with the completion of Client Ad-Hoc Requests Coordinate and liaise with strategic partners to incorporate schedule updates to master schedule.
Auditing schedule received from strategic partners, within the required time frame to avoid any reporting or schedule discrepancies. Help in establishing business cases timelines, taking into consideration various inputs for client, strategic consultants and advisors. Presenting the schedule in a visually friendly manner and producing necessary diagrams to accommodate the schedule report and updates. Help in drafting Requests for proposals, specifically the time schedule and the schedule reporting requirements. Drafting the time (schedule) management plan, discussion and agreeing with the client, the plan to include schedule levels, coding, schedule general accepted standards. Establish and agree schedule levels and tasks coding and break down. Attend planned and schedule meetings representing the client with various strategic partners Ensure cross functional cooperation and visibility among other departments to ensure alignment on deadline and critical activities.
