Job Title: Associate Director Cost Management (Giga Project)
Location: Remote location - Giga Project, Saudi Arabia
Base: Shall be based within the Giga Project in Saudi Arabia as per project requirements, with periodic visits to the Compass Dubai Office for coordination.
Role: The Associate Director Cost Management for the Giga Project plays a pivotal role within Compass Project Consulting, responsible for overseeing cost management services for one of the largest and most transformative Giga Projects globally. This strategic position requires leadership, technical expertise in pre and post-contract cost management, and a solid understanding of major project dynamics.
Responsibilities:
Team Leadership: Provide visionary leadership by overseeing and directing a team of cost management professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration within the Giga Project context.
Cost Management: Lead cost management services for the Giga Project, from initial project planning to post-contract cost control, ensuring adherence to the highest standards of cost management excellence throughout the project lifecycle.
Strategic Planning: Develop and execute strategic cost management plans for the Giga Project, aligning project cost goals with organizational objectives, and ensuring successful project outcomes.
Resource Optimization: Efficiently allocate and optimize resources, including personnel, technology, and tools, to ensure cost management success and project profitability.
Financial Management: Oversee the financial aspects of cost management projects, including fee modelling, budgeting, and profit and loss management, ensuring financial success for the projects under your purview.
Client Relationship Management: Maintain strong client relationships within the project, ensuring client satisfaction, loyalty, and fostering long-term partnerships.
Technical Expertise: Provide expert technical guidance in pre and post-contract cost management, resolving complex challenges, and ensuring project delivery aligns with industry best practices.
Regional Leadership: Collaborate with the regional leadership team and mentor cost management teams within the project, ensuring consistent service delivery and adherence to Compass Project Consulting's standards.
Service Agreement Review: Lead in the review and recommendations for service agreements with clients on the project, ensuring alignment with the company's standards and client needs for major projects.

Experience:
Senior management experience in pre-and post-contract cost management on major projects, preferably with a minimum of 12-15 years of experience.
Proven track record in managing multiple cost management projects with diverse teams, particularly in the context of large-scale Giga Projects such as Hospitality, Mixed-use, and Residential.
Previous experience in client relationship management, commercial management, and reporting directly to company directors or board members.
Qualifications/Skills:
A degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent qualification is required.
MRICS (Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) or equivalent professional certification is mandatory.
A minimum of 12-15 years of experience in cost management, with a focus on major projects and Giga Projects such as Hospitality, Mixed-use, and Residential.
