Job Description - Laboratory Information Admin

Job Description

BASIC FUNCTIONS

Set up and maintain a scalable laboratory information system Build, modify, configure, customize system Create development plans, implementation plans and operating procedures for every test that is set up Quality Check processes of LIMS by performing comprehensive user testing and new user training Acts as liaison between internal laboratory users and external system vendor to address various system issues Implement, integrate, maintain laboratory instrument interfaces with LIMS Evaluates product enhancements and capabilities, in addition to implementing upgrades as required Collaborate with other departments for integration of Laboratory Information System with inhouse software.

2.      WORK PERFORMED

· Generate records and documentation for LIMS lifecycle from development to continuous maintenance

•      New LIMS user onboarding accounts and training

•      Point of contact for troubleshooting any issues related to LIMS

•      Mitigate and resolve information system issues in a timely manner

· Ensures all data integrity standards are maintained according to QMS

· Communicates to Quality Assurance leadership when a quality issue with LIMS is identified

· Primary subject matter expert for LIMS during audits, and will ensure the audit readiness of the

following: qualification documentation, user lists and privileges, and procedures

3.          WORK CONTACTS

Frequent contacts with Process Engineering, Operations, Production           Planning, Inspection, Maintenance and Materials personnel up to Section Head level, to coordinate work and provide information and advice. Liaises with Laboratory personnel of Company’s other operating centres and JIGPC Group Companies. Occasional contacts with local manufacturers and suppliers of chemicals            and Laboratory equipment.

4.          INDEPENDENCE OF OPERATION

Reports to Laboratory Manager. Performs tests within the frame work of established policies, procedures and professional standards. Work is subject to review and discussion.
