Job Description - Operation Performance Manager

Responsibilities:

  1. Offer international gained expertise to enhance JCDPI Port Terminal Productivity and ensure Terminal Operations Performance targets are achieved and exceeded as set by the company and monitored by Royal Commission JCPDI Port Authority.
  2. Following of the Port Authorities requirements (mainly Border Guard, Customs, Economic Cities and special zones Authorities and Port Development Company) in JCPDI Port.
  3. Developing the team members to be a high productivity team.
  4. Review and implement the maintenance schedule of the port equipment and process considering the operations plan.
  5. Leading communications with the maritime agencies and coordinating with Harbor Master for Vessel berth allocations.
  6. Preparing the booked and expected vessels schedule with daily updates.
  7. Managing the cargo readiness for the import/export shipments.
  8. Managing the overall terminal performance improvements.
  9. Complying with company and inhouse HSSE polices which is a safety measure put into place by the IMO (International Maritime Organization).
  10. Coordinating with the port authorities in case of any emergency.
  11. Coordinating the relations with third party contractors for port operations.
  12. Managing and following up action plans meet the goals of top management.
  13. Closely monitor vessel operations time is minimized to shortest time possible.
  14. Ensure waiting time of General Cargo/Bulk Cargo Vessels at outer anchorage is minimized to target set.
  15. Increase Port Productivity by ensuring Gross Move Per Tons is above target set.
  16. Coordinate better planning of bulk and general cargoes for efficient utilization of yard space and increase landside operations performance to improve Truck Turn Around time as per target set.
  17. Ensure optimal equipment utilization for maximum port efficiency.
  18. Ensure proper manpower planning for efficient utilization of capital resources.
  19. Closely monitor operational efficiency and safe working procedures to minimize accidents.
  20. Ensure all operational staff and equipment operators are trained in the best operations practices with regards to advanced operations strategies and new technology.
  21. To deliver a level of service to customers that is equal to the best international standards.
  22. Identify potential candidates to train to sustainability leading the team to achieve performance target and the port services continuous enhancement.
