Job Description

Summary

Manages all activities within the section and ensures the smooth operation of technology solutions that drive user connectivity, access, communications, and internet services. Responsible for delivering ICT security services and supporting the professional growth of the team.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties

1. Manages all new IT developments and evolving business requirements related to access management, identity management, and internet access, and recommends alternative solutions when necessary. 

2. Ensures the continual operation and improvement of the active directory service, access management systems, and internet access to meet the Hospital security requirements. 
3. Oversees enhancements and updates to the current active directory, access management, and internet services, ensuring they align with industry best practices and Hospital needs. 
4. Oversees the implementation of security improvements by assessing the current security situation, evaluating trends, and anticipating future requirements to proactively address potential vulnerabilities. 
5. Leads internal audits of critical system access to ensure that the proper levels of access are being granted and maintained, and take necessary actions to mitigate any identified risks or issues. 
6. Manages and develops the performance of Information & Communication Technology (ICT) Security staff through performance management, counselling, motivation, training and development, and orientation of new employees. 
7. Address employee engagement and retention in the section, create a positive work environment, and develop the skills and capabilities of the ICT Security team within the Hospital.
Education

Master’s, or Bachelor’s Degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, or other related discipline is required. 

Experience Required

Grade 11: 

Five (5) years of related experience with Master’s, or seven (7) years with Bachelor’s Degree, including two (2) years in a seniority position is required. 
Grade 12: 
Seven (7) years of related experience with Master’s, or nine (9) years with Bachelor’s Degree, including four (4) years of (Grade 11) experience is required.
