Job Purpose / Objective:
Coordinate and facilitate quality team for development of a positive risk management culture with HMG by providing professional support on day to day activities to addresses potential managerial and clinical risks to minimize harm within healthcare delivery
Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities:
- Assist in developing risk management program and coordinate and facilitate implementation of risk management plan as per the National/ International Healthcare Accreditation Standards.
- Facilitate the education and training to all staff on their roles related risk management.
- Provide assistance to hospital quality teams on risk management methodologies and risk indicators as per the national/ international healthcare requirements.
- Perform a systematic process to identify and analyze potential risks for severity and likelihood of occurrence.
- Support to quality team in managing identifies potential risks (e.g., reduction and/or prevention).
- Identify, analyze, and reduce potential risks (e.g. failure mode and effects analysis).
- Coordinate with clinical and non-clinical HODs for the risk management program.
- Monitor and evaluate risk management program regularly and suggest for improvement as required.
- Maintain appropriate documentation of the risk management activities.
- Communicate risk management activities and their results to the staff and other relevant groups and used as a basis for improvement of the hospital’s processes.
- Participate in person-centered care initiatives undertaken by HMG.
- Enrich patient experience with compassion, respect and dignity.
- Perform other applicable tasks and duties assigned within the realm of his knowledge, skills and abilities.
Education/ Professional Qualification:
- Educational: Bachelor’s Degree; preferably in Medicine or Nursing or Hospital Management or Administration from a recognized national or international university.
Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in the field of healthcare quality improvement and risk management or health care administration in a national or international accredited tertiary care hospital
