Job Description - HR Payroll Officer

Job Description

As an HR Payroll Officer, you will be responsible for accurately processing and managing the payroll for our employees. You will ensure timely and accurate payment of salaries and wages, as well as handle all payroll-related queries and issues. Additionally, you will assist in maintaining employee records and ensuring compliance with relevant labor laws and regulations.

Responsibilities:

  1. Process and calculate payroll for employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  2. Prepare and distribute pay slips and salary statements to employees
  3. Handle payroll-related queries and provide support to employees regarding payroll issues
  4. Maintain accurate employee records, including attendance, leaves, and overtime
  5. Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations regarding payroll and employee benefits
  6. Assist in the preparation of payroll reports and analysis
  7. Coordinate with other departments, such as HR and Finance, to ensure smooth payroll processing
  8. Stay updated with changes in labor laws and regulations related to payroll
  9. Conduct audits and reconciliations of payroll data to ensure accuracy
  10. Assist in the implementation of new payroll systems or process improvements

Preferred Candidate:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance, or a related field
  2. Proven experience as a payroll officer or in a similar role
  3. Strong knowledge of payroll processing and relevant labor laws and regulations
  4. Proficient in using payroll software and MS Office
  5. Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and calculations
  6. Excellent organizational and time management skills
  7. Ability to handle confidential information and maintain data integrity
  8. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  10. High level of integrity and professionalism
