Job Description - Legal Department Manager

A reputable Real Estate Company in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia is seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Legal Department Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8 years of experience in the legal field, with a strong background in managing a legal department. This role requires a deep understanding of local laws and regulations, as well as the ability to effectively manage a team and provide legal advice to the organization.

Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the legal department, ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations.
  2. Manage a team of legal professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient and effective performance.
  3. Review and draft legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and legal opinions.
  4. Provide legal advice and guidance to the organization, including senior management and other departments.
  5. Stay up-to-date with changes in local laws and regulations, and ensure that the organization is in compliance.
  6. Represent the organization in legal proceedings, including negotiations, mediations, and litigation.
  7. Develop and implement legal strategies and policies to protect the organization's interests.
  8. Collaborate with external legal counsel and other stakeholders to address legal matters.
  9. Manage the legal department's budget and resources effectively.
  10. Conduct legal research and analysis on various issues as required.

Preferred Candidate:

  1. Minimum of 8 years of experience in the legal field, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
  2. Strong knowledge of local laws and regulations in Saudi Arabia.
  3. Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound legal decisions.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex legal concepts to stakeholders at all levels.
  6. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  7. High level of integrity and professionalism.
  8. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  9. Proficiency in English and Arabic, both written and verbal.
