Project Manager - Piling

The Projects Manager will be fully responsible for managing key projects in Piling / Ground improvement / Shoring works under the guidance of the Projects Director. The incumbent will ensure that the projects are executed efficiently and delivered on time by managing the key resources available

Key Responsibilities:

· To ensure the achievement and optimization of the provided technical, economic, and financial results for the assigned contracts/orders, providing to the overall technical-administrative management of the site project, until its conclusion;

· To manage client relationships, sharing all the information related to the various working phases, also building a relationship of mutual trust and satisfaction with the customer, intervening promptly in case of any criticalities;

· Ensuring compliance with Safety, Environmental and Quality standards in the workplace according to the current local legislation

· Sharing objectives, procedures and activities related to each project with the Site Managers/Engineers;

· Creating and then submitting to the Site Managers/Engineers the project budget and any eventual improvement areas in terms of costs;

· Collate, track and present project KPIs to maintain cost and contractual control at all times;

· Ensuring the correct application of the Quality and Safety Plan as per the PQP, in compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements;

· Sharing the information related to the various working phases with the clients/stakeholders, also managing the relationship with the latter;

· Planning and organizing, in collaboration with the Site Manager/Engineer and, where applicable, with the Projects Director, the needed resources and equipment, ensuring their availability within the required times

· Preparing the monthly/weekly Work Progress reports on the basis of the executed quantities, in accordance with the contractual terms

· Supervising the technical, economic and financial project progresses on a constant basis, defining the necessary actions to achieve the required objectives and to maintain a good relationship with clients;

· Ensuring the project contractual management and the setting up and resolution of any disputes with clients and/or partners, relying, where necessary, to the relevant company Services, identifying and preventing possible critical situations through promptly corrective action;

HSEQ and regulatory compliance:

· Ensure that organization policies and procedures are understood, implemented, and adhered to by all employees;

• Ensure compliance with Group HSEQ policies and procedures.

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualification(s) Skills & Experience (E – Essential / P – Preferred):

• Masters Degree in Geotechnical Engineering / Civil Engineering / Geological sciences (P)

· At least 5 years of relevant project management experience in Ground Engineering / Piling ./ Shoring works (P)

• Industry approved Project Management qualification (P)
• Computer literacy to quickly grasp computational geotechnics packages and excel in-house computational spreadsheets. Proficiency in use of AutoCad software is a distinct plus (P)
• Knowledge of packages viz., Settle 3D, PLAXIS would be an advantage (P)
• Proficiency in English language. Preference will be shown for other linguistic ability (P)
• Supervision of all project logistics and technical matters in coordination with operations department (P)

• Teamwork: the proven dedication and ability to work successfully with others, adding value to the team (E)

Complying with Procedures:

• Ensure all operations comply with the Company and Client operating policies and procedures.
• Ensure all operations comply with the Company Health and Safety policy.

• Liaise with the HR Department to assure compliance with current employee law legislation and employment contract and keep up to date with other current legislation, legal requirements and regulations that apply to the company.
