Job Description - Senior Accountant - Events Services

Leverage your abilities and join the dynamic team of a holding company for a group of companies specialized in Events solutions, production, logistics. Their HQ is in Dubai, and they have branches in KSA and Egypt as well.

They are one of the leading Events’ solutions and production providers in GCC with more than 20 years of experience in the market and having ISO certifications for Events production and organization.

The Senior accountant in Events solutions, production, and logistics oversees the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and payroll processing  

Key Accountabilities 

The position involves:

  • Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
  • Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations, journal entries, and accruals.
  • Analyze financial data and trends to provide insights and recommendations for improving financial performance and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with other departments to develop and maintain internal controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Manage the annual budgeting process and provide variance analysis against budgeted expectations.
  • Coordinate and support external audits and tax filings, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

We are Looking for someone with the following requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in accounting or finance roles, with increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Proficiency in English is essential.
  • Thorough understanding of accounting principles, standards, and regulations (GAAP).
  • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle)
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality in handling sensitive financial information.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications
