Job Description - Anesthesia Consultant

Advanced Hires is currently seeking a qualified Test Validation and Compliance Manager for one of our clients who is located 20 miles northwest of Milwaukee.

The Test Validation and Compliance Manager will supervise a technical department consisting of degreed engineers and engineering technicians. Must effectively interface with a team in a global development environment. Have the ability to objectively integrate engineering theory into everyday practice. Must be able to develop resource staffing plans, manage capital and expense budgets, interface with Design Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Shop Floor and Service/Training departments.

The candidate must be knowledgeable in a variety of compliance areas, such as machinery regulations, intellectual property and product liability. Must be able to interface with outside resources to manage intellectual property, engine exhaust emissions, product liability investigations and product safety.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

80% Management of R&D Test Lab:

  • Working with Design Engineering to develop product testing plans and timelines for the building of proof of concept (POC) and prototype machines. Testing will consist of bench, complete machines and field. In addition, support zero series machines with final shake down and external compliance testing.
  • Integrate FEA analysis with testing in the lab to make sure analysis/simulation is accurate with actual test loading conditions.
  • Develop test procedures and refining of test practices for consistent methodologies.
  • Assist shop floor with assembly line issues and trouble shoot machine performance issues as needed. Electrical, Mechanical and Software.
  • Work with Service on warranty concerns or customer complaints.
  • Support Product Management with Customer demo s, machine and site setup and transportation of machines.

20% Compliance:

  • Responsible for coordinating various internal departments for product liability issue as they arise. Interface with outside resources to develop plan for product investigations, providing internal documents and general information about subject machines.
  • Responsible for interaction with outside certification services for organizing and performing factory audits. NATM, CSA, Intertek
  • Coordinating with outside test resources for product certification
  • Prepare and document various quarterly and annual reports for government agencies. DOT, CSA, EPA and CARB
  • Work with Corporate Legal Office and outside Counsel on Intellectual Property. Submitting new applications, providing support in IP maintenance decisions and IP investigations.

General Working Requirements

  • Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and electrical schematics
  • Basic understanding of machine fabrication and construction techniques, bending of metal, welding, drilling, milling, tapping and grinding
  • Basic understanding of hydraulics.
  • Understand basic lab safety, identify improvement opportunities and maintain the lab in good working order.
  • Ability to work with a diverse group of people internally and externally to the department. Coordinate efforts with other global facilities on test & validation or compliance subjects.
  • Understanding of government regulations focused on machine safety, machine performance and reporting responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) required. Masters Degree in Engineering, Math or Business preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Travel required-up to 5% Domestic and International
