An Assistant Front OfficeManager assists in supervising the Front Office Team to ensure thatTeam Members are prepared and wellinformed to deliver Guests anexceptional experience from checkin through checkout.

What will I be doing

AsAssistant Front Office Manager you will assist in supervising theFront Office Team to ensure that Team Members are prepared andwellinformed to deliver Guests an exceptional experience fromcheckin through checkout. An Assistant Front Office Manager isresponsible for managing the first impressions of our Guests andtherefore must perform the following tasks to the higheststandards:

  • Assist the Front OfficeManager to oversee the entire Front Office operation to maintainhigh standards
  • Assist the Front Office Managerto evaluate levels of Guest satisfaction and monitor trends with afocus on continuous improvement
  • Ensure regularand VIP Guests are recognised and that the Front Office departmentoperates with a sales attitude and promotes the hotel brandsloyalty scheme
  • Maximise room occupancy at bestrates and use upselling techniques to promote hotel services andfacilities
  • Assist the Front Office Manager withsetting departmental objectives work schedules budgets policies andprocedures
  • Monitor the appearance standards andperformance of the Front Office Team Members with an emphasis ontraining and teamwork
  • Ensure Team Members havecurrent knowledge of hotel products services pricing and policiesas well as knowledge of the local area and are continuously trainedto learn and understand policies andpractices
  • Maintain good communication andworking relationships with all hoteldepartments
  • Monitor staffing levels to meetcover business demands
  • Conduct monthlycommunication meetings in the absence of the Front Office Managerand produce minutes
  • Assist the Front OfficeManager with staff performance issues in compliance with companypolicies and procedures
  • Assist the Front OfficeManager with recruiting managing training and developing the FrontOffice team
  • Act in accordance with policies andprocedures when working with front of house equipment and propertymanagement systems
