Overview

As aCORE Trainer you are not only the foundation of the department butalso the future of the company. This role is thus the mostimportant within the team. This is where the rest of the teambuilds off from. You are the front line and have an extremelyimportant role to play within our worldclass system. The word thatbest encapsulates your role as a CORE Trainer is fundamental. Thisis what you will be assessed on and expected to deliverconsistently. You will need to learn what the fundamentals areunderstand the importance of them within our environment and lastlyhow to execute them to our extraordinary standardsrepeatedly.

Safety

  • Creatingsafe training environments for our guests in both Personal Trainingand/or Group Exercise formats.
  • Performeffectively daily gym maintenance checklists for all traininglocations.
  • Develop an acute sense for hazardperception whilst manning the gym floor during private sessions andin group exercise formats.
  • Competent atspotting movement patterns performed with free weights resistancemachines and body weight.
  • Learn how to performthe Overhead Squat assessment effectively as a basic screen to usewith clients.
  • Competent at assessing anddetermining the start points/threshold via isolated active range ofmotion assessments and exercise execution knowledge forclients.
  • Understand feel and be able to deliverintensity safely to clients via your exercise programs. This is themissing factor to fasttrack results.
  • Theability to understand how clients react to different coaching cuesand also to know the difference between internal and externalcues.

Implementation of CORE FitTraining System

For both Personal Training andGroup Exercise.

  • Must use and followstrength training templates provided by the Line Manager for themonth.
  • If need or want to deviate away from thetemplate then written approval must be provided by your linemanager.
  • On not only your clients but also onyourself. You must go through what you will give your clients.Never give anything to anyone that youve not doneyourself.

Proactivity

  • Inactions around the gym floor and thefacility.
  • In your technical learning andselfdevelopment focus on anatomy biomechanics andphysiology.

MainDuties

  • Record and monitor daily safetychecks of the gym equipment.
  • Ensure potentialhazards are dealt with and reported toOperation.
  • Keeping the gym clean and tidymaking sure all loose equipment is stored safely afteruse.
  • Gym introductions and inductions providedto our members.
  • Demonstrates and explains howto use gym equipment safely and effectively to ourmembers.
  • Engagement with clients ensuringclients have towels and water or anything they need uponarrival.
  • Attending team meetings education andtraining.
  • Attending four classes per week twoYin (Pilates/Yoga) and two Yang (HIIT Boxing BootcampCycling).
  • Actively participate in training anddevelopment programs and maximize opportunities forselfdevelopment.
  • Act at all times by COREpolicies and procedures.
  • Ensure to have 35hours of available session slots on Mindbody and regular sessionsare booked in advance.
  • Appearance and hygieneare important wear your clean uniform at all times in the facilityif you are not trainingyourself.

Conditions ofWork

  • Flexibility in working hours andlocation of work can be changed based on businessneeds.
  • Working 40 hours weekly between traininggym instructing group exercise and gymshift.
  • Oneyear contract the contract shall bereviewed and renewed every year.
  • 90 daysprobation period which can be reviewed and extended to 180days.

Experiences &Qualifications

  • Minimum Level 2 FitnessInstructor.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience as aFitness Trainer/Instructor.
  • Certified PersonalTrainer with a recognized certification (e.g. NASM ACEISSA).
  • Accreditation through UKSCA or ASCA oron the way to obtaining not essential but anadvantage.
  • A Bachelors or Masters in a relevantexercise science discipline is not essential but anadvantage.
  • Proven experience (at least oneyear) in delivering exceptional coaching and achieving measurableresults with general population clients.
  • Firstaid and CPR certifications arepreferred.
