Collaborative Relationships You will work in close association with: The Mine Planning Team The Geology Department The Project Team Underground Mining Contractors Various External Contractors Responsibilities: to Safety & Health, Environmental Standards, Community Management Systems, legal and regulatory requirements, and MBCC values is paramount. Upholding MBCC policies and procedures within your scope of work. Maintaining exemplary safety standards for yourself and others. Utilizing state-of-the-art equipment and surveying best practices to deliver precise data efficiently. Keeping survey equipment in optimal condition, ensuring calibration and adjustment parameters are met. Updating and maintaining Emergency Plans for accessibility. Installing survey stations to guide mining direction. Marking out designs for development and diamond drilling activities accurately. Producing survey plans and memos to high standards promptly. Conducting development pickups and maintaining an accurate survey as-built model. Performing void scans and validating results. Assisting with weekly and end-of-month surveys. Engaging in aerial survey work as needed. Managing surface set outs and pickups. Undertaking various survey-related tasks as required. Experience and Skills Requirements: Strong Work Ethic and Pride in Workmanship: We seek individuals who take pride in their work and possess a strong commitment to professional ethics. Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with Deswik and Surpac software is highly desirable, enhancing our team's capability in precise mine planning and surveying. Software Skills: Competence in using spreadsheet, presentation, word processing, and database applications is essential for efficient data management and reporting. Numerical Skills: Excellent numeracy skills are crucial for accurate data analysis and survey calculations. Independence: The ability to work unsupervised, demonstrating initiative and self-direction in completing tasks. Planning and Prioritization: Strong organizational skills to forward plan and manage multiple tasks effectively, ensuring timely completion of projects. Communication: Bilingual proficiency in Arabic and English is preferred, enabling clear and precise correspondence and collaboration with our diverse team. Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Surveying is required, setting the foundation for a successful career in mine surveying. Previous experience in surveying within a mechanized hard-rock underground mine is desirable, offering practical insights and a deeper understanding of industry challenges.
