Are you a highlymotivated HR professional who can demonstrate experience across thewhole spectrum of people processes from hiring to exit We arelooking for a serviceoriented Human Resources Manager to join ourwinning team to support our businesses in Middle Eastern andAfrican countries such as South Africa United Arab Emirates SaudiArabia Qatar and Kuwait.
You will be managingall operational HR processes independently and compliantly in yoursubregion (5 countries and around 150 employees). In addition youllbe a trusted advisor to our business involved in strategic HRprojects and tasks. As the scope of responsibilities is wide youwill be efficient in handling daily operational demands as well asconfident in challenging old ways of working and promoting ValmetsWay Forward.
Yourmain responsibilities will include:
- All employee relation and laborlegislationrelated matters from hiring to exit ensuring compliancewith various regulations and company policies as well as advisingand coaching line managers on employmentmatters
- Resourcing: resource planning withmanagers recruitment and selection redundancy and restructuringactivities
- Compensation & benefits:managing salary reviews bonus programs and local benefits accordingto company policies and local legislation providing local expertiseto salary surveys and C&Bdevelopment
- Talent development and retention:planning and implementing competence development activities tosupport professional development and the competitiveness of theorganization
- Driving Valmet people processessuch as performance and development reviews employment satisfactionsurveys and successor planning in your responsibilityarea
- Maintaining HRIS data and ensuring dataquality as well as payrollcompliance
- Facilitating a good work culturedriving employee engagement and welfare and handling performancemanagement cases and staffgrievances
- Developing our leadership cultureproactively together with our linemanagers
Asour HR Manager you will be reporting to the Director of HROperations in Southern Europe Trkiye Middle East and Africa andworking closely together with our HR Business Partners as well aswith local management.
Requirements:
You know how to select the best employees from themarket and your keen eye for detail will ensure our payroll ismanaged successfully and our HR data is accurate. Your knowledge ofemployment legislation is second to none and you understand how tomanage the more challenging elements of the role such as grievanceresolution and terminations. You balance a friendly and open naturewith strong negotiating and influencing skills.
To succeed in thisrole you have:
Experience working in an HR Manager role for at least 5 years andsupporting a global business in a multicultural matrixorganization.
Suitableeducation (Bachelors degree or higher)
Strong knowledge ofemployment laws and practices
Enthusiasm to managevarious operational tasks and projects simultaneously
Solid experience inthe recruitment of various kinds of roles
Knowledge andexperience in all people processes across the employment lifecycle
Good negotiationskills and a cando attitude
Fluent communicationpresentation and facilitation skills in English
Demonstrableunderstanding of standard HR metrics e.g. headcount C&Bcosts turnover and operational reporting (e.g. sickness andabsence).
Relevant ITskills and understanding of the importance of data quality in ourHR systems (Workday knowledge is a plus)
Ability andwillingness to take business travel to the countries under yourresponsibility.
