Job Description - Regional Dangerous Goods Trainer - Urgent Hiring

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dangerous Goods Trainer to join our DG team. The ideal candidate should have in-depth knowledge of hazardous materials regulations (IATA + ADR), safety protocols, and transportation requirements. As a Dangerous Goods Trainer, you will be responsible for developing and delivering comprehensive training programs to ensure compliance with international, federal, and local regulations governing the handling, shipping, and transportation of dangerous goods through Air and Road.




  1. Training Program Development:

    • Design, develop, and update training materials and programs related to the safe handling, storage, and transportation of dangerous goods in regards with IATA and Local CAA standards.

    • Stay current with industry regulations and standards to ensure training programs are up-to-date and compliant.



  2. Classroom and Hands-On Training:

    • Conduct engaging and informative Dangerous goods training sessions for employees involved in the handling of dangerous goods.

    • Provide hands-on training to simulate real-world scenarios and ensure practical understanding of safety procedures.

    • Conduct and record assessments after the training modules to check skills and attitude of learners.

    • Ability to travel frequently across GCC countries to conduct dangerous goods trainings



  3. Regulatory Compliance:

    • Stay abreast of local, federal, and international regulations governing the transportation of dangerous goods.

    • Interpret and communicate regulatory changes to relevant stakeholders within the organization.



  4. Documentation and Recordkeeping:

    • Maintain accurate records of training sessions, attendance, and participant performance.

    • Generate reports on training effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.



  5. Safety Audits and Inspections:

    • Collaborate with safety and compliance teams to conduct regular audits and inspections of dangerous goods handling practices.

    • Identify and address potential safety hazards and compliance issues.



  6. Continuous Improvement:

    • Proactively identify opportunities to enhance safety protocols and training programs.




Provide feedback to management for the continuous improvement of processes and procedures related to dangerous goods handling.




  • Minimum of 5 years Cargo / Aviation experience in dangerous goods handling and transportation.

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in delivering Dangerous good trainings.

  • In-depth knowledge of international, federal, and local regulations related to dangerous goods (IATA, DOT, CFR19, ADR).

  • Certification of a CBTA Dangerous Goods Instructor is highly preferred.

  • Strong communication, analytical and presentation skills.

  • Experience in developing and delivering Dangerous goods training programs.

  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams regionally.

  • Ability to manage and lead training teams.

  • Strong time and conflict management skills.

Education:




  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Environmental Science, Logistics, Occupational Health, and Safety) is preferred.


Valid IATA 7.3 DGR course obtained from IATA &/or accredited IATA schools.
