Our client, a Ministry of Defense Hospital in Saudi Arabia, are seeking a skilled and compassionate Specialized Nurse with expertise in wound care management. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing, treating, and monitoring patients with acute and chronic wounds to promote healing and prevent complications. The candidate must have specialized training and experience in wound care, excellent clinical skills, and a strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care. RESPONSIBILITIES: - Assess and evaluate patients with acute and chronic wounds, including pressure ulcers, surgical wounds, diabetic ulcers, and traumatic injuries. - Develop and implement individualized wound care plans based on comprehensive assessments and evidence-based practices. - Provide wound care treatments, including cleaning, debridement, dressing changes, and wound measurements, using sterile techniques and specialized equipment as needed. - Monitor and document wound healing progress, complications, and any changes in patient conditions. - Collaborate with physicians, wound care specialists, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes and coordinate care. - Educate patients, families, and caregivers on proper wound care techniques, prevention strategies, and signs of complications. - Participate in multidisciplinary wound care rounds, case conferences, and quality improvement initiatives. - Stay current on advances in wound care management, research, and best practices through continuing education and professional development activities. - Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, policies, and protocols related to wound care and infection control. - Maintain accurate and complete documentation of wound assessments, treatments, and patient education. Desired Candidate Profile QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS: - Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's degree in Nursing or certification in wound care management desirable - Minimum of 3+years of nursing experience, with at least 1+ years of specialized experience in Surgical, Wound Care management. - Certification in wound care (e.g., Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nursing Certification Board (WOCNCB), Certified Wound Care Nurse (CWCN), or equivalent) strongly preferred. - Excellent clinical assessment and critical thinking skills. - Proficiency in wound assessment tools, wound care products, and advanced wound care modalities.
