Accommodation Manager (Contract)

Location: Riyadh & Jeddah, Saudi Arabia
Contract Duration: Mid-August 2026 – Mid-February 2027

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Accommodation Manager to support the delivery of a major international sporting event in Saudi Arabia. This role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing accommodation operations for workforce, officials, VIPs, participating teams, and key stakeholders across multiple host cities.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience managing accommodation services for large-scale international sporting events, tournaments, conferences, or government-led events, ensuring seamless guest experiences while coordinating with hotels, suppliers, and operational teams in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning and execution of the accommodation program throughout the project lifecycle.


• Manage hotel allocations, room inventories, booking schedules, and accommodation databases.


• Coordinate accommodation requirements for workforce, officials, VIPs, participating teams, contractors, and other accredited stakeholders.


• Build and maintain strong relationships with hotels, accommodation providers, and service partners to ensure contractual obligations and service standards are met.


• Monitor hotel occupancy, rooming lists, arrivals, departures, and last-minute operational changes.


• Work closely with transport, accreditation, workforce, arrivals & departures, protocol, and venue operations teams to ensure integrated planning and seamless guest movements.


• Manage accommodation budgets, forecasts, reporting, and supplier performance.


• Resolve accommodation-related issues promptly while maintaining exceptional customer service standards.


• Develop operational procedures, contingency plans, and accommodation policies.


• Produce regular reports, dashboards, and updates for senior management.


• Ensure compliance with project timelines, service level agreements, and health and safety requirements.


• Support test events and operational readiness activities prior to tournament delivery.

Requirements

• Proven experience managing accommodation operations for international sporting events, tournaments, major conferences, exhibitions, or government events.


• Strong knowledge of hotel operations, room inventory management, and accommodation logistics.


• Experience coordinating with multiple stakeholders, including hotels, government entities, suppliers, and operational teams.


• Excellent planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills.


• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.


• Strong negotiation and supplier management experience.


• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.


• Experience using accommodation management or event management systems is advantageous.


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Arabic is an advantage.


• Willingness to travel between Riyadh and Jeddah as required.

Preferred Background

We are particularly interested in candidates who have:

• Delivered accommodation operations for international football tournaments or other major sporting events.


• Worked on FIFA, AFC, Olympic, Formula 1, motorsport, or similar mega-events.


• Experience supporting VIPs, delegations, officials, athletes, or large event workforces.


• Managed accommodation operations involving multiple hotels and thousands of room nights.
