Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Nursing (online degrees/diplomas are not accepted), and  Current Nursing (RN) license in North America, Western Europe, or Australia/New Zealand, and Specialty qualification related to area of expertise required. Evidence must be provided, and Minimum of six years of current experience as a RN, including at least two years of current leadership experience, working in a mid- to large-size acute-care hospital setting in North America, Western Europe, or Australia/New Zealand.
Department Information
The Adult Hematology Unit is an acute 15 bed unit. The patient population includes Saudi and non-Saudi Nationals, 14 years of age and up.
Patients are admitted with various hematological disorders, including:
Acute and Chronic Leukemia Aplastic Anemia Multiple Myeloma Sickle Cell Anemia Burkittâs Lymphoma Thalassemia Myelodysplastic Syndrome ITP; TTP Frequent Procedures/Services/Functions:
Medication delivery including chemotherapy administration and management Blood product administration Central/peripheral IV line management Bone marrow biopsy and aspiration Lumbar puncture Patient assessment and evaluation (frequent hemodynamic monitoring) Patient/family education Oxygen therapy and pulse oximetry Neutropenic isolation (and other as required) Nutritional support (TPN, weights) Wound and skin care BMT work-up Psychosocial support Pain control Hours of Operation:
24 hours per day, 7 days a week
