JOB PURPOSE
Lead and deliver projects of varying complexity and scale in the fields of ecology and biodiversity.
Drive technical excellence, quality and continuous improvement within the environmental assessment team.
Assist in business development and work winning within the team.
Manage the technical aspects of environmental assessment projects, particularly the coordination and execution field work, reporting etc.
QUALIFICATION / EXPERIENCE
(Required) Bachelor's degree in ecology / zoology / botany / conservation biology or equivalent studies.
(Preferred) Master's post-graduate degree in Ecology relevant field of study.
Bachelor's degree: Minimum of 10 years of professional experience, preferably in environmental consulting and in the Middle East.
Master's degree: Minimum of 5 years of professional experience, preferably in environmental consulting and in the Middle East.
Proven track record in environmental project management and report writing.
GENERAL EXPECTATIONS
High level of technical expertise with experience in environmental assessment projects.
Proven ability to lead diverse project teams, potentially across a range of geographic locations.
Contribute to technical leadership and excellence in the Division.
Client-centric behaviours and collaboration - strategically evaluate new opportunities to develop client relationships.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Independently manage complex projects with multifaceted technical scopes and stakeholder management both internally and externally (internal technical team, relevant authorities, clients, sub-consultants, etc.)
Coordinate and execute ecology/biodiversity-related field surveys, primarily for terrestrial environments.
Communicate effectively with specialist/field staff and sub-consultants to extract, interpret and analyse field data to complete reporting tasks.
Delivery of a range of high-quality reports including, but not limited to ecological impact assessments, strategic ecological assessments, and ecological baseline reports.
Delivery of ecological consultancy projects to high levels of quality within project deadlines.
Preparation of proposals and seeking and winning new work with existing clients.
Development of strong relationships with existing clients through project delivery.
Provide guidance and leadership to more junior team members and provide formal mentorship
Client oriented and contributes to commercial success of the division
Generating multiple instances of repeat work with clients.

Strategic vision / planning: Contribute to the data analysis development of reports and presentations used in the strategic planning process for specific division.
