We are headquartered in London, Riyadh, Singapore and Dubai, Cape Town, Cairo & Sydney working throughout the Middle East, Europe and Asia. Our areas of expertise are represented in four core verticals: Building Engineering, Planning and Infrastructure, Strategy and Advisory and Commissioning, Handover and Asset Management.

JOB PURPOSE

• Lead and deliver projects of varying complexity and scale in the fields of ecology and biodiversity.
• Drive technical excellence, quality and continuous improvement within the environmental assessment team.
• Assist in business development and work winning within the team.
• Manage the technical aspects of environmental assessment projects, particularly the coordination and execution field work, reporting etc.

QUALIFICATION / EXPERIENCE

• (Required) Bachelor's degree in ecology / zoology / botany / conservation biology or equivalent studies.
• (Preferred) Master's post-graduate degree in Ecology relevant field of study.
• Bachelor's degree: Minimum of 10 years of professional experience, preferably in environmental consulting and in the Middle East.
• Master's degree: Minimum of 5 years of professional experience, preferably in environmental consulting and in the Middle East.
• Proven track record in environmental project management and report writing.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Independently manage complex projects with multifaceted technical scopes and stakeholder management both internally and externally (internal technical team, relevant authorities, clients, sub-consultants, etc.)
• Coordinate and execute ecology/biodiversity-related field surveys, primarily for terrestrial environments.
• Communicate effectively with specialist/field staff and sub-consultants to extract, interpret and analyse field data to complete reporting tasks.
• Delivery of a range of high-quality reports including, but not limited to ecological impact assessments, strategic ecological assessments, and ecological baseline reports.
• Delivery of ecological consultancy projects to high levels of quality within project deadlines.
• Preparation of proposals and seeking and winning new work with existing clients.
• Development of strong relationships with existing clients through project delivery.
• Provide guidance and leadership to more junior team members and provide formal mentorship
• Client oriented and contributes to commercial success of the division
• Generating multiple instances of repeat work with clients.
