Brokerage & Capital Markets Tester

About the Role:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and business-savvy Capital Markets & Brokerage Systems Tester who is passionate about financial markets and system quality. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and performance of trading and brokerage platforms used in fast-paced, highly regulated capital markets environments.

You will work closely with business users, traders, product owners, and development teams to validate complex trading workflows and ensure systems meet both business expectations and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Test end-to-end trading and brokerage systems, covering order management, execution, settlement, and reporting.
• Validate trading workflows including order placement, modification, cancellation, partial fills, and full execution.
• Perform functional, integration, system, and regression testing for capital market applications.
• Test different asset classes such as equities, bonds, derivatives, and other securities.
• Ensure proper integration between front-office, middle-office, and back-office systems.
• Design, write, and execute detailed test cases and test scenarios based on business requirements and market rules.
• Identify, document, and track defects, and work closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and assist business users during testing phases.
• Validate market data feeds, pricing accuracy, and trade confirmations.
• Ensure systems comply with exchange regulations, internal controls, and compliance requirements.
• Participate in release cycles, production validations, and post-deployment support when required.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field.
• 4–7 years of hands-on experience in testing capital markets, brokerage, or trading systems.
• Strong understanding of the trading life cycle and brokerage operations.
• Experience working with Order Management Systems (OMS) and/or Execution Management Systems (EMS).
• Solid knowledge of stock exchanges, clearing & settlement processes, and market operations.
• Strong manual testing experience; exposure to test automation is an advantage.
• Familiarity with defect tracking and test management tools.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have:

• Knowledge of FIX Protocol and trading message flows.
• Experience testing real-time or high-volume transaction systems.
• Understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements in capital markets.
• Exposure to performance, stress, or load testing for trading platforms.
• Experience working in agile or fast-paced delivery environments.
