Care and Custody Officer

Casual Opportunities – Mount Gambier

• Ideal for candidates seeking ad hoc work during peak operational hours.


• Flexibility to work across a 7-day roster is essential, with availability for weekends and night shifts.


• This position supports a 24/7 operational environment and may involve coverage across various shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure safety and security of Persons in Custody.


• Escort and transport Persons in Custody.


• Provide care in hospital and court settings.

Requirements:

• Manual driver’s licence (MR truck licence highly regarded).


• Willingness to obtain First Aid certification.


• Available for travel (road and air).


• Australian working rights.


• Ability to pass Police checks, Working with Children Check, and pre-employment medical (including drug & alcohol test).


• You must be available to attend the face-to-face interview assessment sessions which will be held on Tuesday 3rd of February 2026.


• You must be available to start remote learning from 10th of March 2026 and have a laptop or iPad available for the training.
