POSITION TITLE: Child Nutrition Distribution/Delivery Driver

REPORTS TO: Warehouse Supervisor
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 12 months
Primary Purpose
Receive, store, and distribute material, tools, equipment, and products.
Qualifications
Education/Certification
High school diploma or GED, preferred
Valid Texas driver’s license
Special Knowledge/Skills
Acceptable driving record
Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written)
Ability to operate a forklift and pallet jack
Ability to drive automatic and standard transmission vehicles
Experience
One to three years related experience
Major Responsibilities and Duties
Distribution and Delivery
Read production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed. Move materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas. Fill requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distribute items to campus sites. Assemble campus orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves. Weigh or count items for distribution within warehouse to ensure conformance to department standards. Drive vehicle to transport stored items from warehouse to campus sites or to pick up items. Verify items to requisition upon arrival at delivery site. Inventory
Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code. Sort and store perishable goods in refrigerated rooms. Mark materials with identifying information. Open bales, crates, and other containers. Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed. Safety
Initiate and maintain proper and necessary safety and fire prevention equipment within warehouse as prescribed by law and school policy. Operate tools, equipment, and machinery according to prescribed safety procedures. Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties. Correct unsafe conditions in work area and report any conditions that are not correctable to director. Participate in professional learning, training programs, staff meetings, and special events as assigned. Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors
