Jubail, Saudi Arabia Our client is a leading Water and Wastewater project JV between a respected Saudi and International Group to create a large, multinational project environment. We are looking for an experienced Civil Engineer to join their expanding team in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia. Reports to: Civil Supervisor

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Provide technical support for construction and maintenance of all facilities to ensure the safety, reliability and integrity of all civil works and structures
• Conduct non-destructive testing of all civil structures in order to evaluate the reliability of the structure prior to commissioning; also supervise and witness testing of materials by outsourcing laboratories in order to ensure the quality of materials and integrity of the structure
• Conduct site surveys, evaluate existing structures and prepare scope of work for submission to contracts department to invite contract bids; review all contact bids received for capital/ operational for civil maintenance jobs and evaluate these bids on the criterion points covering the scope of work
• Review contract submittals and identify variances with respect to scope of work to ensure the company’s requirements are met for civil work
• Conduct root cause analysis for civil problems referred to the Civil Engineering Section in order to identify the root problem and propose rectification and corrective measures
• Review civil related maintenance strategies. Develop, review and test the civil work inspection plans, in order to ensure full compliance with approved scope of work
• Monitor the financial performance of a given area of activity versus budgets so that areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified and rectified promptly and potential performance improvement opportunities are capitalised upon
• Ensure compliance to all relevant safety, quality and environmental management procedures and controls within a defined area of Civil Engineering activity to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high quality products/ service and a responsible environmental attitude
• Keeps pace with different construction and repair material and changing technology and market process of construction and materials for evaluation of bids
